Crazy Charlie was a Hell’s Angel. He’d got in a fight with a rival gang and had a heavy object smashed onto his skull which was repaired using a metal plate. I spoke to a fellow Angel recently who told me he had fallen out of favour with his former colleagues. An explanation was not given.
