It was always great to get a call from Willy Landels at Harpers & Queen. I’d go to the office in Victoria (later in Soho) and pick up the copy and have a read through on the tube home. I could do anything I liked. Once I turned a whole double spread article on the Heath versus Thatcher conflict into a wrestling poster. Willy said he liked the idea. I have no idea what the readers (or the publisher for that matter) thought of my efforts.
